FAQs
What types of issues can you help me with?
I can help with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions and navigating neurodiversity. Whether you’re dealing with everyday stressors or complex emotional challenges, I provide a supportive and non-judgemental space to help you find clarity and healing. I also work with clients who may feel unsure exactly what their presenting issue is, this isn’t a problem and it is something we can work through and get to the bottom of together.
How do I know counselling is right for me?
Counselling is right for anyone who feels that they need a bit of extra support. You may feel like you are facing a specific challenge or you might just be feeling a bit stuck. If you’re curious about therapy or wondering if its a good fit, its always ok to try a session and see how it feels. My approach is warm, patient and understanding, so you can decide if its right for you at your own pace.
What can I expect from my first session?
In your first session we will simply have a relaxed conversation about what’s bringing you to counselling and what you’re hoping to get out of it. It’s a chance for you to share as much or as little as you like, and to ask any questions you have about the process. My goal is to make you feel at ease and supported right from the start so we can figure out the best way to move forward together.
Do you offer in-person and online sessions?
Yes, I offer both. In-person sessions take place in either my Langport or Taunton location. Online sessions are for those who prefer the convenience of meeting from home. Whether you’re nearby and want to come in person or you’re more comfortable connecting line, we can find an option that works for you. Working online means we can work together regardless of your location.
